Running for office is the single most important way that concerned residents can make a positive impact. If you are concerned about our deteriorating school buildings or the management of the $150M bond, our community needs leaders who will step up and be a new voice for accountability and transparency. School Committee and Town Council members come from all educational and career backgrounds. The most important qualities are a willingness to do what is right for the community and the commitment to serve. In the November election, there will be three School Committee seats and five Town Council seats that will need to be filled. We will also be seeking candidates for state representative and state senator. Please note that our goal is to run a full slate of candidates for these seats. Please note that, although candidates won’t formally declare until July, now is the time to start planning for that process. Let’s not sit on the sidelines while important decisions are being made.
